Bursitis Knee Pain
Bursitis knee pain can occur when the bursa in the joint becomes irritated and inflamed. So what is a bursa? Bursae are fluid-filled sacs that are designed to decrease friction and facilitate easy movement. Most of the major bursae are located next to tendons that cross over joints. Of the 160 bursae in the human body, nearly a dozen are found in the area of the knee. Bursitis knee pain is a common ailment that can be effectively treated at Foster Muscle Therapy.

How does the tendon become rigid to cause bursitis knee pain?

This type of bursitis knee treatment has another advantage: it improves overall blood circulation to the joint. Excessive tension in a muscle compresses blood vessels, limiting blood flow to the area. By improving the resting health of the muscle, more blood can flow into the joint, bringing oxygen and other nutrients necessary for healing.
When the bursitis knee pain is seen as a symptom of a larger problem, rather than isolated to just the bursa, better results can be obtained. It also means that more invasive procedures, such as surgery and injections, can be avoided. That is a solution that is important to many people afflicted with this condition.

I have had stinging hip and groin pain now for3 years started after total hip replacement,the pain in my hip is where the scar is the pain also goes down the leg.I have had extensive physio pain meds,acupuncture,cortisone injections,prp plasma injections,a torn tendon repair,MRI,s ct scans ultra sounds nateral anti inflammatory injections.I am in extreme pain I am hoping for some advice as I want to have a life again.I live in Australia and I can,t express how depressed I am.Thnk you Jan.
I am so sorry to hear about the trials you have faced in trying to find appropriate treatment. Unfortunately, muscles are often overlooked as the culprits. Even when they are considered, the usual options are to medicate and treat symptoms rather than to try and get actual sustainable change in the quality of the muscle tissue. The PUSH program works at getting some immediate relief in the tissue through treatment and then supports that with re-training of the body and education in self-treatment. The goal is self-supporting long-term tissue change. It’s difficult for me to advise you without being able to see and assess you. And I do not believe that there are any PUSH therapists in Australia that I could refer you to.
